DEVELOPING A DIGITAL PORTFOLIO

  • Focus on creating your professional digital presence.
  • How does your online presence reflect your professionalism?
  • Keep in mind that your on-line profile is now pubic by default and private by choice.
  • Your portfolio should promote life-long learning.
  • Include self-reflection as a component of your portfolio.

PORTFOLIO TIPS
  • Allow for multiple formats to be used (i.e. images, audio files, video files, voice threads, podcasts etc.).
  • You can make some aspects of your portfolio password protected (i.e. your résumé).
  • You can use a blog for your self-reflections (i.e. blogger or Word press).
  • Consider establishing your personal domain name (i.e. Hopton.ca).
